Connie Price

Being a career bookkeeper, both in computer and establishing manual systems, for large, small, self-employed professionals and an 18-year family manufacturing business, are the qualifications that she brings to the position of Treasurer for Burlington Seniors Community Inc (BSCI).

Arriving in Burlington from Windsor in 1964, she immediately got involved both in her career and volunteering in her new community.  She has been on and chaired boards of numerous community organizations over the years, including Jaycettes, Planning Councils, Volunteer Bureau, Burlington and Halton Safety Councils, Information Burlington, Ontario Fibromyalgia Association.  She was appointed by the Minister of Health and ratified by the Provincial Senate to the Board of the Halton-Peel District Health Council.  She is still actively involved in St. Matthew’s Church, the Diocese of Niagara and using her Therapeutic Touch and Reiki healing when needed.

Also of assistance in her volunteering at BSCI will be her eight years as Director of Resident Lifestyle at a local nursing home, her Certificate of Gerontology from Ryerson University and several related courses at McMaster.
